My History with Photography
My love of photography stems from my maternal grandmother who was an old school photographer and loved to capture life one shot at a time. Being the mother and grandmother she was, she loved to take pictured of her family and grandkids. I can remember being little and being posed for photographs. As I grew up, my grandmother continued to strive to take photos of the family. However, getting the family to group up and stay still while she framed the image and set the timer was not a favorite moment in time.
As I grew up, I grew to love photography as much as my grandma but was determined to take the waiting out of the process. In junior collage, I studied photography but after starting my #adultera in the mid 2000, photography quickly became a hobby more than anything else.
Fast forward to the smart phone and Apple changed the world of photography forever. Now everyone had a camera and could snap a picture anytime they felt the urge. Don’t get me started on the selfie lol. Now a days, like most people, the majority of the pictures I take are for memories only. However, some just feel a little extra and can even inspire me to take more.
Here are some of my favorites that might just inspire your next photo too, cheers!
